Gonna start the discussion here
« on: March 01, 2010, 09:42:22 AM »

Because I think this is an epic fucking fail for the ages.

His bike, he can do what he wants.

But, in my opinion, this is horrible.  I don't like TSMs in the first place, or care what happens to them, but this offended me at some base level.  hah

I think it turned out really slick. it's not like the bike was mint and they tore it apart, it was in need of a paint job

I would be pissed if he did that to my bike, but its america let him do what he wants.

It did look better before he painted it.

okay, the forks and wheels could use some work, but it's not finished yet. I wouldn't have posted it until it's done... BUUTUUUUT. he did.

Hell yeah, he can do what he want.  But I can verbally dash his hopes and dreams too.  AMERIKA!  FUK DAT!

I don't like TSMs, but it definitely looked better before the blkout.

It doesn't matter if it's ceramic coating if it still looks like something a 15 year old would do with a rattle can...

I wish he hadn't done it, but as Matt says, it's his decision. It's not like people haven't painted LTDs and stuff before, although I think that usually the ones that get painted like that started off in worse cosmetic condition. Probably the decals he's describing will help make it look more finished and less rattle-canish.

Had it been any other bike, would you even care? It's just a bike. there's tons of them out there. Who gives a shit? It was my bike, and I certainly don't.

Dude! Did I say anything bad about it?? I'm just pointing out that when Johno said "ceramic coating" he was jokingly making rattle can sound fancy.

If it were any other bike, I probably wouldn't make a post about it.  Do I really care?  No.  But it's not often you see what a lot of people consider some sort of moped holy grail made into basically a rat bike.  I thought it was post-worthy.  And dumb.

I wouldn't have posted it until it was finished. Especially such a controversial bike. I know, it's BLK BLK, and I know it'll be fast, but this doesn't look like a BLK BLK bike. It looks like something some kid in Jersey found and painted black. I feel like, it's okay to BLK out a 103, Magnum, Ciao, whatever; but TSMs are something pretty rare and coveted. It's a classier bike than that. Hopefully Johno replaces the forks and adds decent decals back on it. I also don't understand the back shocks; other than the fact that they're black, I don't see the point. They're a LOT taller, throws off the geometry of the bike. Makes it look all spindly too.
