The old and the new are not the same...
Pix #1 Old one
Pix #2 New one
Pix #3 Both
Problem is that the new one will not fit into the tank, It is too long... Is there a simple solution to the problem or am I babying it ... don't want to break it...

1)Unscrew and remove the screen on the new petcock. 2)Install the screen most of the way into the frame. 3)Re-install the screen by threading it back into the petcock. 4)Install the nut onto the frame and the petcock and tighten it down. One thread is reversed so they will both tighten at the same time 4)Hook up your brand new fuel line to your new petcock and fully rebuilt carb. 5) Fill the tank with gas and ride... New petcock settings should be up=OFF middle=ON down=reserve Make sure and check these settings to be sure.

O'Reilly or any autoparts store for 2 stroke oil. Be careful with the MMO you really don't need it. Adding too much can cause your oil fuel ratio to be out of whack too lean on gas too much oil which could cause excessive heat.

Offering any advice on an unknown oil injection system that has not been tested would be foolish, eh??

fill your oil tank
run premix in the gas tank
if the oil tank level falls you know the oil injector is working
drain premix gas and run straight gas
gotta make sure your oil injector pump is pushing oil
i have not seen a vespa moped manual with oil injector instructions in 30 years
probably never will

this is how the vintage vespa scooter guys do it.
oil level going down verifies the oil pump is working

The oil reservoir being drained doesn't tell you in a particularly accurate way how much oil is being injected...El Seizo!!!

the oil is probly injected into the intake close to the crankcase. i would put straight gas in the tank and cheapish 2 stroke oil in the oil tank. start the motor and see how it goes. if it smokes then your good. moped people dont like injector pumpss because there beleived to be the devil. i think on a stock bike it would be cool. for the simple fact that you can go to the gas station and get gas and not mix it with oil. also i would asume that if the pump doesnt work then the bike would have previously self destructed and when it was rebuilt the previous owner would of abandended all or some of its components.

my guess its not adjustable.
some Jap bikes had adjustable oil injector but this being Italian i*m sure
they just set it at one ratio.......just like the Vespa scooters(non-adjustable)
if i remember my last Vespa scooter the injector put the oil in the carb venturi
i never worried about it....i just filled the oil tank up and scoot
