New heavy Duty Chain

My chain broke and I needed a new one... A few weeks ago I found a chain from a garage door opener, I wondered if I can use it on the Grande??? the answer is YES... I measured them and noticed how much stronger the Garage door opener was... I have taken some Pic's to show you all... Enjoy...

Size of what ? the links or the total length? I measured the 2 chains side by side to get the total length, perfect...

The only problem I had was the new chain was so strong it broke the Wally world tool...

you realize that tool is made for breaking BICYCLE chains? not heavy duty motorcycle chains (or garage door opener chains which honestly I would suggest NOT using)... if I were you i'd just wait to get one from treats/77 or call a motorcycle shop and ask if they have any 415HD chain which they probably won't since motorcycles use 420 chain.

he's using the garage door chain on the pedal chain. Grande's are belt drive, remember? ;) Since it's just for the pedal chain, it would probably do the job for what he's using it for. a moped pedal with put less force than a heavy-ass garage door. though walmart sells bike chain that fits for the pedal side.

Pedal side uses a standard 410 chain or 1/8" bicycle / bmx chain.

Not sure on cost, but might be cheaper than garage door. And you shouldn't need anything heavy duty unless your trying to pedal start a seized motor ;)

Also, from my first question... Chains are organized in a pretty easy to use number system (410 - BMX, 415 moped/light industry/ 420 motorcycle) etc, etc...

 tractor supp. co.  has 41-10 tractor chain  10 foot for $13.99 and it is the same size as the stock 415 mopard kind ...

I read on MA that's it's very close to the same size and causes more wear on sprockets. Have you guys run it? Is this true or just BS? Just curious to hear from someone who has run it.
